The Maryland/Israel Development Center and AdvaMed, the advanced medical technology association, are cooperating on the next MarketReach America program to host an Israeli medical device delegation at the AdvaMed annual conference, Oct. 12-14, 2009, in Washington, DC. Ten Israeli entrepreneurs are participating in the delegation.
Israeli device entrepreneurs will reap the benefits of meeting the largest American biomedical companies at AdvaMed along with the intimacy of meetings with local businesses and investors at corresponding MIDC events.
The MIDC events include networking and investor receptions for the Israeli delegation on Tuesday evening, Oct. 13th, at the Embassy of Israel for AdvaMed members and participants and the business and investment community of greater Washington, DC, and a corresponding reception on Wednesday evening, Oct. 14th, in Baltimore to meet the business, investor and scientific community from that city, which includes Johns Hopkins University and the University of Maryland Medical Center.
On Thursday, Oct. 15th, the MIDC will conduct a half day symposium on grant and collborative research opportunities with NIH executives on the NIH campus in Bethesda, Maryland. The symposium will guide Israeli entrepreneurs to relevant financial and scientific resources available at the world's largest life science research institution that has a grants budget of $27 billion.
