For more than 18 years, MIDC's mission has been to foster bilateral economic development between Israel and Maryland. Located in Baltimore’s World Trade Center, MIDC is an energetic and vibrant hub of people and activities promoting Maryland/Israel trade, investment and economic development. The MIDC Board of Directors, volunteers and staff, actively assist Israeli businesses in successfully accessing Maryland and other U.S. market opportunities, concurrently identifying appropriate business prospects for Maryland companies in Israel. In the last five years, MIDC has assisted over 50 Israeli medical device and security companies to open offices in the greater Maryland and Washington, DC area.

The State of Maryland is an epicenter of high technologies, including medical devices, healthcare, life sciences, cyber security and data management, and a primary location for global commerce. Israel is a world leader in these sectors, and MIDC provides an instant infrastructure of contacts and assistance to companies seeking new markets through its strategic partnerships with companies such as Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, SafeNet, Boeing and Microsoft.
